Have your say on Namoi floodplain harvesting rules

The NSW Government invites community feedback on the proposed floodplain harvesting rules for the Namoi valley.

Stakeholders, water users and the community can attend a webinar or face-to-face information session this month to get the latest updates.

We encourage everyone to come along and have their say and lodge a submission to help us understand and address any local concerns before we finalise the rules, which will be implemented through amendments to the relevant Namoi water sharing plans next year.

Sessions will provide a clear overview of the proposed rules and supporting analysis, as well as an opportunity to ask questions and get information about how to share your feedback.

Residents and stakeholders can attend the following:

  • Webinar: Tuesday 6 December, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Face-to-face: Tuesday 13 December, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, Wee Waa Bowling Club, 69 Alma St, Wee Waa

The community can provide feedback until 29 January 2023 and the Department of Planning and Environment will carefully consider all submissions before the rules are finalised.
