Researchers have captured the world’s first images of endangered Manning River turtles mating in the wild as part of ramped-up monitoring work uncovering never-before-seen clues about their lives.

Thousands of stone artefacts found during the Dungowan Dam investigations in northern NSW have been returned to Kamilaroi/Gomeroi Country during a smoking ceremony at the Tamworth Botanical Gardens this week.

Following the Federal Government’s decision last night to withdraw funding the NSW Government will not proceed with the Dungowan Dam project.
