One of the largest water security projects ever undertaken in the North West region of New South Wales is complete, with Quipolly Dam now connected to the taps of residents in Quirindi and Werris Creek through a new $36.9 million world-class water

Farmers and landholders will have more time to share their views on proposed changes to water laws that would give property owners and farmers across the state improved access to water for firefighting.

About 100 primary and high school students and their teachers in Wilcannia will take part in workshops to learn why being water-wise has never been more important, and what they can do to help cut water waste.
