Reinstatement of restrictions to floodplain harvesting

A temporary relaxation of restrictions to floodplain harvesting has ended. As of 14 February 2020, the full restriction on floodplain harvesting is reinstated through 28 February 2020. Current orders are available on the Department’s website where you can also read about reasons for the decision.

Relevant agencies are continuously monitoring and assessing this event in in accordance with the objectives of the order. At this point in time, the assessment is that the objectives of the floodplain harvesting order have not been achieved and are unlikely to be achieved in immediate future.
