Rising River Alert – Snowy River below Jindabyne Dam – 11 May 2023

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment today issued a rising river alert for the Snowy River downstream of Jindabyne Dam in southern NSW for Thursday 18 May 2023.

Upper Murrumbidgee environmental high flows to commence in July

5 May 2023

The first of the three high-flow releases will begin on 10 July, followed by one in August and the final release in September 2023 although the plan may change subject to climatic, operational and environmental conditions.

Snowy River high-flows to commence in mid May

The first of eight planned high-flow environmental water releases to the Snowy River will commence on 18 May and will be rolled out until early November 2023.

Planned Snowy environmental flow reduced

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment has reduced the volume of a planned environmental water release from Jindabyne Dam that was scheduled to take place on Friday 9 December 2022, from 3,705 megalitres per day to 1,995 megalitres per day.
