Floodplain management plans under review

Barwon Darling Valley Floodplain Management Plan 2017

The plan was reviewed under Section 43 of the Water Management Act 2000 in June 2022. The review report (including published submissions) is now available.

The Natural Resources Commission (NRC) completed their audit of the plan under Section 44 of the Water Management Act 2000 in 2022. The audit report is available on their website.

The Section 43 review report (including all submissions) will be used in conjunction with the NRC audit findings to inform possible amendments to this floodplain management plan.

Gwydir Valley Floodplain Management Plan 2016

The plan was reviewed under Section 43 of the Water Management Act 2000 in June 2021. The review report (including published submissions) is now available.

The department consulted on proposed amendments to this floodplain management plan and accepted submissions in 2022. The amended plan commenced on 27 January 2023. Visit Gwydir Valley Floodplain Management Plan for more information about the changes.

The 10 southern floodplain management plans were reviewed under Section 43 of the Water Management Act 2000, in June 2021. The review report (including published submissions) is now available.
