About the framework
The department’s 'Proposed incident and emergency management framework for local water utilities' was recently open for public consultation. Thank you to everyone that made a submission, we will incorporate your feedback into the final framework.
The draft incident and emergency management framework aims to support local water utilities to better manage risks. The framework aims to guide local water utilities in their development of specific incident and emergency management processes using a risk based and outcomes focused approach. The framework will be supported by additional guidance material, to be developed following review of this framework.
