Private water trusts can apply to become a private water corporation.

Private water corporations have additional enforcement functions that are not available to private water trusts. For example, private water corporations may appoint authorised officers to investigate alleged breaches of their agreements and impose charges if water is taken illegally or their works are damaged.

Submit your application

Email your completed application form and any other documents it requires to jpws@dpie.nsw.gov.au.

Fees

The application fee is $150.

Paying for your application

After we have accepted your application form, an officer from the department will call you to finalise your payment. You can pay the application fee by credit card or direct deposit.
