About the reference groups

In line with our commitment to building and maintaining respectful, trusted and collaborative relationships with our communities and stakeholders, the department’s Water Group sought applications from stakeholders across the Hunter region interested in taking part in a community reference group (including landholders and property managers) or industry reference group for the Lostock Dam to Glennies Creek Dam Pipeline Project.

The purpose of these groups is to provide insights from a local community and industry perspective to help inform key aspects of the project, which is the early stages of development.

Reference group members will:

  • be regularly updated and consulted on major project developments
  • provide feedback and local knowledge and insights to help shape the project as it progresses
  • provide further context and insights on any matters raised by the community or industry concerning the project.

Reference group members will be required to meet with the program team at least twice and will receive a sitting fee for participating in meetings. Members will also be expected to attend induction and onboarding events and briefings. The reference groups will operate until mid-2024, aligned with the submission of the project’s final business case seeking an investment decision for the project.

Applications

Reference group applications closed on Friday 3 November 2023, 5:00pm (AEDT).

All applications have been assessed and successful applicants have been notified by a member of our engagement team.
